Westwords Consulting provides Website Care Plans to keep clients’ WordPress websites secure and performing at their best, with regular updates and other services.

Website Care Plans are provided on a month-to-month basis, and clients can cancel at any time. No refund will be given for unused time that has been previously paid for. Payment on invoices issued prior to cancellation will remain due in full.

Details provided by the client during the sign-up process will be used as the point of contact unless otherwise specified.

Authorization

You are engaging Westwords Consulting to perform work as described in the plan(s) or service(s) you have purchased. In the event access to your website is necessary, you hereby authorize Westwords Consulting access and “write permissions” to all directories and files of your account with any other third party hosting provider, as well as permission to install any necessary WordPress plugins for maintenance and security.

Third Party or Client Page Modification

You acknowledge that you or your staff have access to independently edit or update web pages within the WordPress platform.

You also acknowledge that anyone other than you or subcontractors who attempt to update the website and damage the design or impairs the ability for the web pages to display or function properly, may result in time to repair the web pages in order to restore the website.

In this event, damages will be assessed at an hourly rate with a one-hour minimum. Work to repair the website from third-party modifications is outside of the support time and scope of westwordsCARE.

Limitation of Liability; Disclaimer of Warranties

Although there are limitations to the guarantees we can provide, your satisfaction is very important to us. Please read and understand our limits of liability before engaging in our services.

Although we strive for your website’s optimal performance and security, we did not build the WordPress software or plugins used on the website, nor are supplying the hosting platform it runs on.

For this reason, Westwords Consulting does not represent, guarantee or warrant that the functions contained in these web pages or internet website will be uninterrupted, error-free, free from loss, corruption, attack, viruses, interference, hacking, or other security intrusions, and Westwords Consulting disclaims any liability relating thereto.

To the extent not prohibited by law, in no event will Westwords Consulting be liable to the client or any third party for any damages, including, but not limited to, any lost profits, lost savings, loss of data, business interruption, or incidental, consequential or special damages arising out of the operation of or inability to operate these web pages or website, however caused, even if Westwords Consulting has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Website Care Plans Do Not Include:

  1. Hosting (although we can communicate with your host on your behalf and assist with setup).
  2. Domain management or services (although we can work with your domain management and make changes to your domain settings or services on your behalf subject to additional charges).
  3. Website design, website redesign, website development, or website redevelopment.  (These projects can be quoted separately.)
  4. Search engine optimization services
  5. Non-WordPress websites
  6. Email support, management or maintenance (although we can communicate with your host on your behalf subject to additional charges).

Anything not explicitly included in the sections above may incur additional charges at Westwords Consulting's hourly rate.

Support Response Time

Westwords Consulting does not offer response time guarantees or service level agreements (SLA). westwordsCARE sites will be given a priority response as compared to sites that are not enrolled in westwordsCARE.

SEO Ranking/SEO Performance

Westwords Consulting may make adjustments (on our own or by direction of you) to your website, social media channel, ads, etc in an effort to improve SEO ranking and performance. However, Westwords Consulting makes no guarantees on the SEO ranking or performance of your website or business accounts. The westwordsCARE Analytics Report and Dashboard only provide SEO information and metrics.

Domain registrations and web hosting

Domain registrations and website hosting are not included as part of westwordsCARE. You will either purchase your domain or hosting from one of our recommended partners and give us access to your account or we can assist you. You will always maintain control of every part of your website!

Enrollment in westwordsCARE may require switching and migrating your existing website hosting to a recommended provider. Additional charges may be incurred for migrating a site to different hosting.

Westwords Consulting is not responsible for downtime because of issues at your hosting provider. If your site goes down because of an issue at your hosting provider, we will reach out to their support team and keep you informed of status and possible ETA. If there are changes that need to be done to your hosting account or website, we will inform you prior to billing additional charges.

Content changes

No. These plans only cover WordPress core, plugin, and theme updates. Content changes will be billed at your agreed upon hourly rate.

Plan changes

Westwords Consulting reserves the right to add/adjust/remove plan features at our discretion. Prior to this change(s), you will be notified in writing.

Pricing & Payments

Once a client of Westwords Consulting, you authorize Westwords Consulting to charge the payment method you submitted for all the invoices generated for the services rendered under westwordsCARE.

Accepted payment types

We use Stripe to process all payment types securely and hassle free. Once subscribed to a hosting plan, your payment will be automatically made from your Stripe account each month on the day you signed up. You will be billed automatically when your payment is due and you'll be notified by email each month that the payment has been sent.

Other forms of payment can be arranged with prior approval.

Per-site Pricing

westwordsCARE is priced per-site. Because of the nature of our service we only allow one WordPress install per plan.

Past Due Payments

Accounts that are 30 days past due will be removed from westwordsCARE until payment is settled.

Upgrades/Downgrades/Cancellations

You can upgrade, downgrade, or if you ever decide that westwordsCARE isn't right for you, simply cancel your plan from your account.

Refunds

No refund will be given for unused time that has been previously paid for. Payment on invoices issued prior to cancellation will remain due in full.

Terms & Conditions Updates

Westwords Consulting reserves the right to update and modify this Terms & Conditions at any time without notice to you.
